Wings Party – LOCI

Wings Party at Lorain Correctional

Here’s a volunteer opportunity to help inmates and their families. The Lorain Correctional Institute is hosting a Wings Party!  For the past 5 year Mrs. Ann Edenfield out of Albuquerque, New Mexico has hosted a WINGS Party here at LorCI.  This year we are in need of help for our 2016 W.I.N.G.S. Party.

Act Quickly!

We are asking for you and your ministry team to help us with this year’s program. The program this year will be on June 18, 2106 from 12:00 – 4:00.  We would ask the volunteers to be here at LorCI by 10:00 to receive orientation and instruction for the day.  We will be hosting about 80 inmates and their families so we need all the help we can get.

What’s a Wings Party?

The Wings Party model is similar to a summer church camping program that is fun, active, and gets all members of the congregation involved in youth ministry. The Wings Program model has three parties per year: a Christmas Party, an Easter Party, and a Back-to-School Party.

The Wings Party is based on Acts 2:42

Acts 2:42Wings is a focused ministry outreach based on the LOGOS program of LOGOS System Associates, which is a midweek youth and children’s program in over 25 different denominations in thousands of churches across the United States, Canada, parts of Europe, Japan, Russia, and India. Wings is supported by Prison Fellowship and the Light & Liberty Jail Ministry in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Wings volunteers are caring youth and adults from area churches who have a special call to this unique ministry. Many are also associated with ministries like Prison Fellowship, the Light & Liberty Jail Ministry, LOGOS System Associates, and Kairos.

Please email me back ASAP so a list can be developed and more detail information can be given to you and your ministry team.
